Tanner joined Hertz Farm Management in August 2023 as a farm manager in our Mankato, MN office. Tanner graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy Management. He then went on to graduate from Murray State University with a master’s degree in Agriculture Science.  

Tanner grew up around his family’s grain and livestock operation in central Illinois. He is still involved with his family’s operation, as well as his in-laws farming operation.

Before coming to Hertz Farm Management, Tanner was a sales agronomist where he earned his Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) designation.

Tanner currently resides in St. Peter, Minnesota with his wife, Erin.

Heidi joined Hertz Farm Management in October of 2023 as a Farm Manager in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Prior to joining Hertz, she worked for Lee Agency as a Farm Account Manager and Corteva as a Seed Quality Testing Specialist. 

She graduated from Iowa State University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy. Her internships included cooperative operations, agronomy sales and agricultural technology. She was active in Sigma Alpha, which is a professional sorority for women in agriculture. Heidi is now a member of the Alumni chapter of Sigma Alpha and enjoys mentoring women who are passionate about agriculture.

Heidi grew up on a small acreage in Eastern Iowa, which she bought from her parents in January 2023 with her husband, Nathan. They enjoy spending time with their two corgis, doing renovations to their house and spending time with their family. Heidi also enjoys taking photos of families, livestock, and agricultural landscapes.

Joe joined Hertz Farm Management in January of 2024 as a farm manager in the Omaha, NE office. 

Joe farmed with his family in southeastern South Dakota and developed a love and respect for the role of the family farm.  He graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences focused on agronomy.  In 2010 he graduated from Iowa State University with a master’s degree in Agronomy focused on crop management and genetics.  Joe has worked in allied industry to include Pioneer Hi-Bred, Int., Inc, Corteva, and Bayer Crop Science.  He has held positions in corn and soybean commercialization and characterization, agronomy research management, seed production, and sales management.

Joe resides in La Vista, NE with his wife Kim and golden retriever (Harley).  In his off time, he pursues time as a private pilot working toward a commercial license.

John joined Hertz Farm Management and Real Estate Services in January of 2024 as a Professional Farm Manager and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson based in the Geneseo, Illinois office. In this role, he manages farms and assists landowners across Northern Illinois with the evaluation and marketing of agricultural real estate.

John earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2021. During his time at Illinois, he was actively involved in several student organizations, participated in a study abroad experience in Panama, and lived on the University’s Beef Farm. His passion for agriculture was shaped by hands-on experience working on a row crop and beef cow/calf operation throughout high school and college.

Following graduation, John worked for two years as a Sales Agronomist at Rock River Lumber & Grain in Northern Illinois, where he gained extensive agronomic knowledge and built strong relationships within the agricultural community.

John is actively involved in multiple professional organizations and holds leadership roles within his community. He and his fiancée, Gretchen, reside in Sterling, IL where they have an active farming operation.

Jason joined Hertz Farm Management in March 2024 as an office manager in the Mankato, MN office.

Jason graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has previous experience working as a sales manager in several different states.

Jason grew up on a farm in Southern Minnesota where he helped his father operate the farm and trucking business. Jason currently resides in Minnesota Lake, MN with his wife, Nancy and three children. He is a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and is on the Parish Finance Board.

Jameson joined Hertz Farm Management in May 2024 as a licensed real estate salesperson in the Mason City, IA office. In this role Jameson sells and acquires properties for landowner clients.

Jameson graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business in May 2024.

Jameson has a deep passion for the outdoors, specifically bird hunting and musky fishing. He was raised in Waterloo, IA and looks forward to getting involved in the community now in Mason City.
