Biography

Brent manages over 50,000 acres in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Iowa. He is the managing real estate broker in Illinois for the Monticello office. Since joining Hertz in 1989, Brent has been an active member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the Illinois Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. In 1994 he received the designation of Accredited Farm Manager. In 2012 Brent was named Farm Manager of the Year for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He is also a member and past President of the Monticello Rotary Club and several other organizations.

Brent was raised on a crop and livestock operation in McLean County, Illinois. He was active in the production of corn, soybeans, and hay, and was part owner of a hog and cattle operation.

Brent lives in Monticello with his wife, Lisa, and has two sons, Jake and Ryan.
