Dylan joined Hertz Farm Management in November 2019 as a farm manager and licensed real estate salesperson in the Mt. Vernon, IA office. He is pursuing his Accredited Farm Manager designation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

He grew up on a row crop farm north of Wheatland, Iowa in western Clinton County. After graduating from the University of Iowa with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he joined a Fortune 500 company’s Leadership Development Program. During that time, he honed his problem solving and project management skills. Dylan later joined the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship as an engineer where he worked to reclaim abandoned coal mines in southeast Iowa and implemented water quality and soil conservation practices. Prior to his joining us, he managed farms and surveying operations for a large limestone, sand, and gravel producer in eastern Iowa.

Dylan is a licensed drone pilot and is passionate about using his abilities to best serve his clients needs. He and his wife welcomed their first child in July 2019.

Allison joined Hertz Farm Management in January of 2020 as a farm manager in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Prior to joining Hertz, she worked for WinField United as a Product Development Associate working with Plant Nutrition and Performance product testing and development. 

She graduated from Iowa State University in December 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy. She was active in several clubs including Agronomy Club and was able to study abroad in Costa Rica and Panama. Her internships included crop scouting, on-farm trialing, and small plot research. Allison also completed her Master’s in Agronomy from Iowa State University in the spring of 2022.

Allison grew up on a small row crop farm in Northeast Iowa that included working with the cattle for her 4-H projects. She now resides close to home with her husband, Austin, and their son, Graham. They enjoy spending time on the farm together along with spending time with family and friends. Allison is a member of the Delaware County Cattlemen Board and enjoys being able to give back to the community she grew up in. She is also a member of the Northeast Iowa Agricultural Experimental Association board for the Iowa State University Nashua, Iowa research farm.

Allison is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Iowa and a licensed drone pilot. She is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, and she has become an Accredited Farm Manager.

Brandon joined the Hertz Farm Management team in 2020 as a Professional Farm Manager.

Brandon grew up on a beef and row crop production farm in rural Erie, Illinois, where he was actively involved in FFA. After college, Brandon worked in the financial sector for 17 years, gaining valuable experience in commodity merchandizing, financial analysis, real estate valuation, and budget development for a multitude of Commercial and Agricultural clients.

Brandon is actively involved in his community, having served as President of the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce and Chief Volunteer Officer of the YMCA of Kewanee. He also serves as a Junior Achievement Mentor and coaches various youth sports teams.

Brandon and his wife Katie live in Kewanee, Illinois and have two children, Nora and Walter.

Gary joined Hertz Associates LTD in June of 2020 as Chief Financial Officer serving Hertz Farm Management and affiliated companies.  

Gary is originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Upon receiving his BBA at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, began his career in public accounting with KPMG in Minneapolis with a focus on Taxation. He served as the Director of Taxation at Cowles Media Company and in financial leadership at the Minneapolis Star Tribune from 1989 to 1998. From 1998 to 2010, Gary was the Controller and CFO of Coldwell Banker’s Minnesota and Western Wisconsin residential real estate operation (a division of Realogy). In the most recent 8 years, Gary was the CFO for IDI, a national distributor of building materials, headquartered in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

Gary and his wife relocated to Ankeny, IA in 2020. They have two adult children living on each coast (Los Angeles and Boston). They enjoy travelling, golf, hiking and exploring new areas.

Rebecca joined Hertz Farm Management in May 2020 as a licensed real estate salesperson at the Mount Vernon, IA office. In this role, she assists clients in selling and acquiring land.

Growing up in Johnson County on her family’s century farm, Rebecca has in-depth knowledge of the area and a passion for her work. Rebecca graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business.

Rebecca’s commitment extends beyond her transactions; she is deeply invested in her community and those around her. Rebecca is involved in various professional organizations serving on the local and national level. In 2023, Rebecca attained her Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation - out of 1.5 million realtors, approximately 700 hold this prestigious designation. Rebecca was named the 2022 Rising Star of the Iowa Realtors Land Institute Chapter.

Jen joined Hertz Farm Management as an administrative professional in our Mankato, MN office. 

Jen was an administrative professional with Upper Midwest Management Corporation (UMMC) for just under 3 years prior to joining Hertz Farm Management as a Farm Management administrative professional. Jen has a strong background in caring for clients. Prior to UMMC Jen was an agricultural lending assistant, personal banker, banking credit analyst, and a finance assistant for a hog packing plant.

Blake joined Hertz Farm Management in January 2021 at the company's Washington, Iowa office. Blake graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Agronomy. While at Iowa State, Blake was active in Agriculfural Business Club and Agricultural Systems Technology Club. Blake is originally from Sciota, Illinois where he was raised on his family's row crop operation. He currently resides in Washington, Iowa.
