Daniel joined Hertz Farm Management in February 2023 as a farm manager based out of the Mt. Vernon, Iowa office. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Iowa, a Certified Crop Advisor, and a licensed drone pilot. He is also currently pursing his Accredited Farm Manager designation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

Daniel was raised on his family’s farm in north central Illinois, near Mendota. This is where he first learned his appreciation for agriculture and understanding the importance of the relationship between landowners and farmers. Daniel graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Crop Sciences in May 2010.

Prior to joining Hertz, Daniel spent nearly 13 years working in seed production, first as a Production Agronomist and Field Operations Manager with Pioneer Hi-Bred International then as the Production Location Manager for the Beck’s Hybrids Mt. Pleasant, Iowa location.

Daniel is married to his wife, Katie, and they have one daughter. In his free time, Daniel enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, watching sports, visiting family, and getting back home to help on the family farm.

Katie joined Hertz Farm Management in April 2023 as an administrative professional in our Omaha, Nebraska office.

Previously, Katie worked with her Mom and Sister as a licensed real estate agent for 17 years. Katie also spent two years at Farmer’s National Company before joining the Hertz team. In addition, Katie graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in Business Administrations with an emphasis in Marketing.

In her downtime, Katie enjoys decorating, refurbishing furniture, and spending time with her family. Katie, along with her daughter Whitney and cat Cutie, reside near Omaha, Nebraska.

Jared joined Hertz Farm Management in April 2023 as a licensed real estate salesperson in our Mankato, MN office.  

Jared lives in rural Minnesota Lake with his wife Rita and four children. He grew up in Southern Michigan helping his uncle on the family dairy farm and continues to be involved in farming with his in-laws on their dairy farm. 

Jared brings experience from his time serving in the US Army Reserve, and has been a volunteer member of the Minnesota Lake Ambulance since 2016. He began his real estate career investing in residential properties in Blue Earth and Faribault Counties in 2018 which led him to acquire his real estate license to be more competitive and strengthen his knowledge base. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Minnesota Association of Realtors, and Realtors Association of Southern Minnesota. 

Calvin joined Hertz Farm Management in May 2023 as a farm manager in the Phoenix, AZ office.

Calvin graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Finance. During his time at Iowa State, Calvin was involved with the Agricultural Business club, The Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative, The Iowa Corn Growers Collegiate Club, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Calvin was raised on his family’s row crop farming operation in North Central Iowa and continues to be as active as possible from Arizona. His passion for agriculture and the unique opportunity to work in Arizona led him to become a farm manager. In Calvin’s free time he enjoys farming, hiking, hunting, and fishing. Calvin and his wife, Victoria, reside in Glendale, Arizona.
